Garden session

There are a few weather situations that I try and avoid photographing in. Like gale-force winds or the obvious deluge of rain. There are of course times of the year that provide ideal weather situations. Like Autumn. Even Spring (depending on the year). Winter can be marvelous, but this year just wasn’t. It was hot and the atmospheric haze gave everything a smoggy pea-soup appearance. I would have ordinarily given in to more pusillanimous alternatives, but instead simply embraced the day as it was. So here we have a session with a beautiful girl surrounded by a painterly backdrop and crisp-toast grass. The haze gives these a bit of a film quality. Something hearkening back to the ‘90’s. Quite pleasing after all.

Winter story

It was probably projection, but when one has two children under the age of two; simplicity and speed is paramount. So I chose this location of burnished saplings and let the apricity have its way.
